News for the Week of October 5th:

Fall break is a week away!  We have completed the first nine weeks of school – a whole quarter- WOW.  We are so proud of all of our students.  They are growing and learning; spiritually and academically!  We pray that all families have a restful time over fall break.

The Lord has been with us from the very beginning and that is even more evident after I got a chance to sit down with Ms. Hawkins. She was one of the first hires before this school was even opened all the way back in 2000. She has taught hundreds of Kindergarten students over the years while launching pivotal programs that have become cornerstones to our institution. Take a listen and hear her story.

I recently had the chance to sit down with our Principal, Mrs. Burlison! She shares her story of finding SHCA and a lot that has happened since. She even gives us a little glimpse into her vision for the future of Sugar Hill. This episode is well worth the listen!

News for the Week of August 31st:

Our biggest fundraiser of the year kicks off this week, Sept. 8th.  Through the Boosterthon Fun Run, we are able to raise much needed funds for school improvements.  This year our funds are going toward upgraded lighting in our gym and continued security upgrades.  Gym lights….think college stadiums.  We can’t wait to see this upgrade at the annual Harvest Party, Daddy Daughter Dance, sporting events and more!

Join us in praying for our upper school students as they attend the annual Connection Retreat this week, Wednesday – Friday.

Lastly, we have early release this Friday at 12pm.  School will close for the Labor Day weekend with no aftercare available on Friday.  Enjoy the day off on Monday, Sept. 7th!

XC - 2-mile stage race on 8/22

Hadleigh Brown received a medal for finishing in the top 30. She finished 18th for the girls Middle School.

Garrett Abernathy received a medal for finishing in the top 30. He finished 29th for the boys Middle School.

Volleyball as of 8/24

Varsity is sitting at 1-0 in region play, 7-2 overall!

JV is undefeated 7-0 and won the LCA JV Tournament on 8/22!

MS is 1-3 in region play, 2-3 overall.
