1979, a man would go on a crime spree that would strike fear in the tight knit community of Staunton, Virginia. Young woman were being sexually assaulted by a man with a stocking obscuring his face, and worse of all, it was in their own homes. The man would find open windows to climb in, sometimes waiting for hours for the right time to strike. It was clear to authorities, it was only a matter of time before he would go from rapist to killer, but all leads would go nowhere.
