Hey Stormy Stormers. I’ve been writing lots but it’s been a month or two since my last podcast episode. I’ll be getting new ones out to you once a month from now on. Summer is a good time to take a break and reflect. Let’s get back to it.

In this podcast episode, I’ll explore the concept of being watched, and intentionally sabotaged by outsiders, and I’d also like to explore how those efforts to hamper one person, can negatively impact the people around them and negatively impact the saboteur.

In one of my most recent posts, I wrote about The teacher and the Comedian. I wrote about some things that happened in my 20s and 30s, and I wrote about some figures that played a sort of a nefarious role in my life at that time. I spoke a little bit about a character called The Comedian from Alan Moore’s The Watchmen.

I was writing about the fact that I dealt with outside forces sabotaging me while I was trying to do my best work. Those outside forces spread rumors around me, saying that I was up to no good, and that I was manipulating and taking advantage of people when in fact I was serving the public genuinely. The rumors were intended to hamper me, or slow me down, or stop me from doing the work under the guise of “trying to protect the public from me”.

This is another story of mine from my early days working as a caterer in Boston. The events that take place would have happened more than 20 years ago, on a night where one of the dinner guests was Cardinal Law. Guess who had to serve him.

This is an important story about perspectives on what’s right and what’s necessary. It’s also a sort of omen, foreshadowing lots of the crap I have to deal with these days. I’m just grateful to have what I hope are interesting stories.
