In Luke 13 Jesus offers total freedom from spiritual and physical bondage. He challenges the strict legalism of the day by healing an afflicted woman, dramatically demonstrating his power to liberate from disease, bondage and shame. In this moment Jesus reminds the synagogue that He is creating a divine kingdom of rest and freedom.
