We couldn't get more Irish than the N17 by The Saw Doctors on St.. Patricks Day! The Saw Doctors are one of Ireland's much loved Irish bands and have created some absolute classics through the years, with N17 featuring in the top 5 Irish Songs as voted for by Today FM listeners over the years!

Ultan Conlon a Galway Musician had some great stories of meeting the band when he was only 11 and then going on to support them on many of their sold out tours in the UK and the US.

Ultan who is also  managed by the Saw Doctors manager Ollie Jennings tells us the many stories  that emerged when the single was produced by Mike Scott of the Waterboys who was meticulous with his recordings.

But the big question is, are the lyrics now redundant however as there is a new motorway in Galway and no left at Clare Galway!?Will the boys have to re-write the tune!?
