The Story of King Sagara and Ganga takes an important space in the chapters of the Ramayana. As Sage Vishwamitra and princes continue on their way along with banks of River Ganga, Vishwamitra recalls how Ganga was brought on to the earth and narrates the story of Ganga. Born into a Ikshwaku dynasty to King Subahu and Queen Yadavi, King Sagara and his line of descendants give their best to accomplish a task. Will they succeed or not is narrated in this episode.

As their journey comes to an end, Sage Vishwamitra invites Raama and Lakshmana to accompany him to Kingdom to Videha. At the capital city of Mithila, awaits them a surprise.
