If you call this man the Father of faith, i don't think too many people will bat an eyelid because his faith level is almost as high as Father Abraham.  He is a man of tremendous faith, he had the kind of faith that made Jesus marvel. He was a man who recognised that Jesus's word is as good as His deed, he had a revelation that Jesus could accomplish whatever He pleases just by saying the word. He is no jew, but a roman.
