"Ferrantes project is bold: her books chronicle the inner conflicts of intelligent women.... Her writing has a powerful intimacy...a bona fide literary sensation - the famous writer nobody knows." (The Guardian)

Love the narrarion
amazing set of books. I thoroughly enjoyed all of them and I love Hillary huberts voice. Perfect match! Purchase immediately.
A Disappointing Conclusion
I guess if you're writing about women and their emergence from their class, it has to be a tragedy. What's the point of fiction if it replicates fact?
It feels like goodbye ...
End of the saga. This story was more meandering and perhaps it's due to correlations between what it speaks off and myself ... feels resolved without any clear statement of resolution.
Wonderful read
Loved this thoughtful expose on life. Excellent narration brought it to life. A wonderful read.
Devastated it's over!
Just completed the last of these novels - so sad I've finished. A truly wonderful journey. I personally thought the narrator did an amazing job. These will be a hard act to follow. Intelligent, insightful, historically interesting period - I loved learning more about Italy and Naples especially.
