Laura was fortunate enough to have four strong mother figures growing up. Aside from her birth mother, Laura shared a home with her maternal grandmother, maternal great grandmother and maternal great aunt (in addition to her father, a brother and a sister!). From an early age Laura was always fascinated by the stories of the adults around her, as well as those from books and television. This was the early making of the storyteller she is today.
