In this talk, Cécile reflects on the moment Jesus stood in the synagogue in Nazareth and announced His mission: liberation, healing, and restoration. Then He made a bold declaration — “Today this is fulfilled.”
Jesus wasn’t pointing to a distant future; He was revealing a present reality. The kingdom of God had already begun. And the mission He carried is now the mission we are invited into.
But the people in Nazareth struggled to see it because they struggled to believe it. In the same way, before we can participate in what God is doing in the world, we first have to trust Him. Faith doesn’t wait for proof — faith is what opens our eyes to the kingdom already breaking in around us.
