Mom Maintenance

The Story You Tell Yourself

Listen Later

Who decided who you are?

Most of us carry around stories we've been telling ourselves for years:
I'm not a good mom. I'm not disciplined. I'm not fun. I'm just a stay-at-home mom. I'm not capable.

The problem is, after telling ourselves those stories long enough, we stop questioning them. We mistake them for facts.

In this episode, I share some of the stories I've believed about myself—from feeling completely unqualified to manage a Crumbl store to believing I wasn't a "fun mom" because I parent differently than other women I admire.

What if the thing keeping you stuck isn't your circumstances... but the meaning you've attached to them?

I hope this episode helps you recognize the stories you've been believing and reminds you that you don't have to keep living inside one that makes you smaller.
