In this episode of Building a Mumpire podcast, I talked about the strange places I've worked since becoming a mum and running my own business. As mums, it is important to realize that the way we work and run our business is completely up to us. This podcast is for mums to find a sense of community and support, and to remind you that you are not alone. My goal is to provide helpful tips to my listeners.
It is important to find what works best for you when it comes to getting things done. As a mother, I have three mornings a week from 7am to 8am and one afternoon a week that I can use to my advantage. I don't always use these pockets of time to work, but I want you to understand that it is possible to get things done when you have these pockets of time.
Be opportunistic with the pockets of time that you have in order to get work done. I also shared examples of the strange places I have worked, such as parks, cars, beaches, and sports centers, in order to make the most of my time. While this may not work for everyone, this approach has allowed me to use other pockets of time for self-care and to spend quality time with my son and my dog. Therefore, it is important to identify these moments and use them to their full potential.
This conversation is about how to find pockets of time during the week to be productive. I also shared examples of my activities to get work done. It is ok to not want to use the time for work and that everyone has different preferences. I encourage you to figure out what works best for you and your family.
