Freedom though, is not utopia. It is not carefree living. It doesn’t mean we are free from the concerns of life and stresses of life. It doesn’t mean trouble will not come. There will still be those times when the pressures and weight of life will press in and try to overwhelm us. So, what do we do? Because there will be days when the load at work is too much; the kids will drive us to our last nerve and circumstances might seem too much to bear. In today’s Scripture text, David gives us a picture of what freedom looks like when we are stressed out. May the Lord encourage our hearts today and may we cling to Him through lives pressures and responsibilities.
