God communicated His word to us in human language.  He often used literary structure that is part of human language (such as the parallelism of the Psalms).  Chiastic structure builds a thought through a series of statements and then repeats them in reverse order.  The chiastic structure of Leviticus points us to the significance of atonement in connection to God’s holiness, His holy law, His holy people, and the grace that He has bestowed.
