Kristen Bradshaw dreamed of being a mama. She, along with her husband Alex, also felt called to missions. While Haiti was the last place, she wanted to go, all of God's directions seemed to lead them there. At first, it felt like it could be a perfect match. Kristen and Alex were struggling to have a baby and longed for a family when they met a man who had an orphanage. Maybe they could be parents to these special children who needed parents, and while ministering to them, they would get their hearts ministered to too.

But the orphanage was not what they thought it would be, and they began to sense God's direction for them, change. They began to see the truth about orphanages and the true needs of the children running in the streets.

Kristen shares about her journey with infertility and even her anger with God. She also shares about the lies she believed and the steps she took to find peace in the longing.

She also shares the struggles they are dealing with living in a very volatile country, adopting a baby, and not being able to leave. During our interview, her husband was busy packing, so they were ready to run out the door (flee their home) should the gangs come closer.
