The Study of Quiet Things is a serialised, small town folk-horror mystery, brought to you by The Teller's House
Sophie Hamilton’s twin sister is missing. The last trace of her leads to a crumbling Welsh coastal village the media calls The Death Town.
Yet, Llangellen doesn’t welcome strangers. It doesn’t answer questions. The locals won’t meet your eyes, and even the police sergeant has one answer for everything: there is great power in silence.
Sophie doesn’t know yet what connects her twin to a string of disappearances in the town, or why a frightened blogger’s posts have suddenly gone dark…
She only knows her sister was there. And now she isn’t.
But Sophie is not the only one lost in Llangellen. There’s a scientist chasing anomalies, and a paranormal investigator running from his past. These three strangers are drawn to the same dying town for reasons none of them fully understand.
What begins as a search, pulls Sophie into something Llangellen has been hiding for generations; a pattern carved into its history, repeating over and over.
The silence here isn’t empty.
It’s waiting.
