Justin Jordan and Shawn Ballou join me for an in-depth conversation about music, friendship, and the making of Justin’s first full-length album, As the Wind Blows On.
We get inside the creative process—from songwriting and studio sessions to harmonies, percussion, arrangements, and the stories behind the songs. Justin and Shawn also share how years of friendship, trust, and honest feedback have shaped the music they make together and their lives outside of it.
We talk about songs that changed along the way, one that nearly never made the album, performing live, and what it takes to create music that means something.
Justin says he could have made this album without Shawn—but it wouldn’t have been the same.

In this episode, I sit down with Joan Kelly—a nurse, entrepreneur, mother, and someone whose life and career have been shaped by service to others.
Joan's career in medicine has taken her from clinical research and treatment during the HIV/AIDS epidemic to a leadership role in Massachusetts' COVID vaccine response. Today, she's an entrepreneur and the owner of her own medical aesthetics practice.
But this conversation is about much more than Joan's career.
We talk about faith and family, resilience, parenting, mentorship, health, and the importance of having people in your corner when life gets difficult. Joan also shares the story of her son Aiden, his recovery from two serious back injuries, and the role discipline and accountability have played in the man he's become.
We also get into Joan's own philosophy on life—being willing to help, being honest with people, and doing the right thing even when it's not the easiest thing to do.
There's plenty of laughter in this one, along with some meaningful moments that I didn't necessarily see coming.
At its heart, this is a conversation about service, human connection, and showing up for the people around us.
I hope you enjoy Episode 13 — Joan Kelly: Service Above Self.

Today on The Stuudio, I sit down with my dear friend, Father Norman Simoneau — someone I’ve known for over 15 years and had the privilege of training, talking with, and sharing life with.
Norman’s journey spans a lifetime of faith, service, and lived experience. From growing up in rural northern New Hampshire to becoming a friar and eventually a Catholic priest, his path has taken him across the country and even to the Vatican. But what stands out most isn’t just where he’s been — it’s who he is.
In this conversation, we talk about faith, community, and the human side of ministry — including the struggles that often go unseen, like his battle with alcoholism. Norman also reflects on his time in Italy, the importance of compassion, and the lessons learned through decades of serving others.
We also touch on aging with independence, the value of meaningful relationships, and close things out with a light-hearted lightning round that captures Norman’s humor and perspective.
This is a real, honest conversation between two people who’ve shared a lot of life — and I’m grateful to share it with you.
At The Stuudio, we believe in compassion, empathy, love, and laughter — and this episode embodies all four.

Raised under the quiet strength of his Japanese grandmother, Dr. Joseph David MacNicoll has spent his life walking the path of Bushido—the way of the warrior.
In this episode, we go beyond pain relief and clinical technique. Joe opens up about his childhood struggles, the spiritual and cultural legacy that shaped him, and how he built Bushido Healing—a place where dry needling, Graston, energy medicine, and ancestral wisdom come together to restore the mind, body, and spirit.
He’s treated thousands, including me—though when I flinched during Graston, he reminded me that his grandmother didn’t cry. (She really didn’t.)
This is more than a conversation.
It’s a look inside the soul of a healer.
This is Dr. Joe: A Lifetime of Bushido.
