The Sultana: a Titanic Disaster on the Mississippi

You may not know, but the deadliest maritime disaster in American history happened on the Mississippi River just north of Memphis. But how did a river steamboat become even more lethal than the infamous Titanic? How was Abraham Lincoln tied to this tale? And even stranger, why don't more people know the Sultana story? We talked with Dr. Louis Intres, the director of the Sultana Disaster Museum in Marion, Arkansas about this uniquely American tragedy.
