David is the author of several books including, "The Summer of 1787: The Men Who Invented the US Constitution." He also practiced law in Washington DC for more than a quarter of a century, defending accused criminals and challenged government actions as unconstitutional. He has argued appeals all the way to the US Supreme Court and was law clerk to Justice Lewis Powell of that Court.
