THE SUMMONS TO SURRENDER
MATTHEW 28:16-20
What is the summons that we are called to surrender to? There are 4 words in our focus passage that perfectly summarize the gospel message of Matthew. The 4 words are imperatives, commands … COME, SEE, GO, and TELL. The Resurrection and the Great Commission give us the power to start over – Jesus gives us the power to keep going. He gives us the power to change, to be different. The greatest day in history is really about personal, intimate, internal change in me and in you.
