In August 1976, two bodies, one male and one female, were found off the side of the road east of Sumter, South Carolina. Neither of the bodies had any identification with them. Police determined that both individuals had been shot to death. They had very little evidence to use to solve the two most crucial questions in this case. Who were the two victims, and who was responsible for their murders?

Police tried everything they could to identify the pair, including publishing dental charts in the hopes their dentists may recognize the information. It took more than 40 years before genetic genealogy determined the pair as James Freund and Pamela Buckley. But, would the police be able to find their killer or killers now that they knew their identities?

The Sleepwalking Murders

Ruby Franke began making videos on YouTube and, over time, created a pretty large following. The videos on her channel, named 8 Passengers, focused on her family of eight as they navigated through life. However, the audience began to see some disturbing signs in the Franke's parenting.
Join Mike and Morf as they discuss Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt. Jodi was a licensed therapist who began working with the Franke family. But she bonded with Ruby to the point that she began following her advice and teachings. This relationship was combustible, and it caused irreparable harm to the Franke children.
