The war is over. The Japanese have lost. The Emperor, Hirohito, continues to live as he has, albeit in a bunker, albeit in a haze. His nation's future is uncertain as is his position but... unlike his ally on the far side of the world, there will be no bullet. The Sun God will die, yes; but he will remain.
