  • The Sunday Show with Tim Andrews & George Clark #14 | Popcorn & VinylCon

Tim Andrews and George Clark are back for another Sunday Show, starting with the Little League World Series and Tim’s latest adventures in parenting.

Tim’s son Gilbert is now selling popcorn for the Cub Scouts, which sends George down memory lane remembering the tins of popcorn he used to sell door-to-door as a kid. Tim, meanwhile, makes a slightly less wholesome confession about what happened to some of the money from his junior high school chorus fundraiser.

Gilbert also had a Cub Scout scavenger hunt and nature hike, giving Tim another glimpse into the increasingly busy world of being the dad of a five-year-old.

Then the conversation turns to Georgia politics and the governor’s race, including Rick Jackson’s campaign and the oft-told story of his difficult childhood. Tim decides there may have been a few details left out of the official biography and produces his own parody campaign commercial filling in some of those blanks. George approves.

George also reports back from VinylCon, where he crossed paths with Ira Malkin from Tim’s old podcasting days, as well as a former WSB Radio employee. He also ran into Sunday Show listener Wes, a serious vinyl collector and music guy who surprised George with a fantastic gift: two radio-issued Beach Boys albums from the late ’60s and early ’70s.

And finally, Tim and George hit some movie news, including Coyote vs. Acme and its strong weekend at the box office after years of wondering whether audiences would ever get to see it. Plus, Randy Quaid has some thoughts — naturally — about Anne Hathaway reportedly being cast in the Days of Thunder sequel, and the guys dig into that whole situation.

The Sunday Show with Tim Andrews and George Clark airs Sundays from 6–8 PM on 95.5 WSB in Atlanta and wherever you listen to WSB Radio.

  • The Sunday Show with Tim Andrews & George Clark #13 | Dave Willis & Matt Maiellaro

Tim Andrews and George Clark open this week's Sunday Show with a little family life as Tim talks about his son's adventures in piano lessons. Then things get substantially weirder: Grand Theft Auto has reportedly been hacked, held hostage and potentially leaked, the Gathering of the Juggalos is still gathering after all these years, and we say goodbye to actress and singer Shelley Fabares—while discovering that George has absolutely no idea who she is.

Then it's an Adult Swim reunion!

Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro, the creators of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, join Tim and George for a conversation about 25 years of Adult Swim and the wonderfully strange Atlanta creative scene that helped launch it.

Dave and Matt talk about how they first met and began working together, the early days of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, creating characters and voices that have somehow survived a quarter-century, and what they're working on today.

They also preview The Robot Chicken Adult Swim Special, celebrating Adult Swim's 25th anniversary with characters from across the network's history—including Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Smiling Friends, Metalocalypse, The Venture Bros., Assy McGee and many more—aboard an anniversary cruise that goes spectacularly wrong.

The special premieres Sunday, August 30 on Adult Swim and streams the following day on HBO Max.

  • The Sunday Show with Tim Andrews & George Clark #12
Tim opens the show with an existential crisis: getting older. From there, Tim and George get into how Facebook and social media can mess with your mood, why the internet may just be a terrible place to spend your time, and whether the era of politics-as-entertainment has finally run its course. A caller takes things in an unexpected direction with giants in the Bible, we check in on whatever is happening with the USS Abraham Lincoln, and—as usual—wander into plenty of other places along the way.
It’s two hours of pop culture, society, strange news, characters, voices and whatever else comes up on The Sunday Show with Tim Andrews & George Clark.
