Branching Out with The Acorn Newspapers

The Superintendent With No Schools

Listen Later

Kyle and Ian sit down with Las Virgenes Unified Superintendent Dan Stepenosky to discuss the atypical start of the 2020-21 school year, which for most local districts began on Aug. 19 with online classes only.  Stepenosky recalls the shutdown in March and what it was like to prepare to reopen schools only to be told a month out to remain in remote learning. Plus, the latest on whether LVUSD will take advantage of a waiver program to get elementary-age children back to school earlier.
