Although Superman saved Comanche Joe from one potentially fatal encounter, he may not be able to save him from the next attempt as Lawson threatens to kill him by using the same deadly method that he used to kill Dusty.  Commentary on the Indians finally being protagonists in this serial yet they are still subjected to the stereotypes of Hollywood.
