Kent makes a deal with art gallery owner Adolf Klein, a contributor to the youth center, to plant a fake story in the Planet that the artwork in his gallery was slashed so that they may finally catch the main boss behind these hate crimes.  But there may be another who knows about the fake story.  Commentary on "bridge" episodes and Superman leaving Jimmy on his own more than not.
