Michael Knight has one word to sum up 2021: Cluster! But despite all the uncertainty and delays, there's a silver lining and hope on the horizon.
The key theme of all this is demand has been growing in all technologies, and in all and market segments, and on top of that what's been happening, there's been some new market segments that have really caught fire and are adding to the pressure -- the demand pressure on the whole supply chain. For example, electric vehicles are coming into their own, plus you've got medical wearables, AI is consuming more and more compute power. There's a ton of IoT applications emerging, especially the remote stuff that's battery enabled. So, we've got this pervasive, quickly expanding demand on the supply chain, and what's made 2021 so difficult and dominated the headlines is that the supply chain has not been up to the task. The big question about 2022 is what's going to be different?
We'll dive deep into that and more valuable industry insights with Michael Knight in this kick off episode of 2022.
