Malcolm and Michael now describe 2020 as a moment when the country's grassroots Tea Party and MAGA movements have an extraordinary opportunity to rise to fill a clear leadership void in the nation by demanding full investigations into election practices and associated corrective vote counts, which still may demonstrate that President Trump secured 270 Electoral College votes. Shockingly, many institutions that have spent decades representing that they were completely committed to defending our Constitution and liberties are strangely silent. But with "stop the steal" rallies growing in number and size around the nation in support of Trump campaign litigation and half the country and 70 percent of Republican voters now convinced the election results were plagued by fraud, the American people are showing admirable signs of resilience and justified concern that still may prove influential, Malcolm and Michael say in Episode 19.
