Today we’ll explore and feel Lincoln Heights, the oldest suburb of Los Angeles, followed by an interview with incredibly talented Josh Shaw! Josh is the Founding Artistic Director of Pacific Opera Project (pacificoperaproject.com). Founded in July of 2011 with the mission of producing accessible, affordable, and ENTERTAINING opera, POP is based in Highland Park, but performs in diverse venues all across LA ranging from The Highland Park Ebell Club, to Forest Lawn Glendale, to Descanso Gardens, to The Ford Amphitheatre. Josh has directed and designed over 50 productions for POP. In addition he is a freelance opera director and spends about 40% of his time on the road directing at opera companies across the country.
