I talk with Joe about his years of lobbying on behalf of hemp. The conversation starts with how poor public knowledge causes mix-ups with ongoing marijuana legalization.

Hemp has suffered because of drug scheduling, Harry Anslinger's propaganda campaign and petrochemical lobbying for plastic alternatives to natural fibers and pulp.

Joe is honest in his concessions that issues of civil liberties as well as bureaucratic and corporate complexities will be difficult to navigate.

However, he insists that for human health through use of CBD and environmental initiatives such as cropland and waterway rehabilitation along with possible carbon sequestration, hemp must be a respected part of the public dialogue.
