This month, we read The Sword of Kaigen by M. L. Wang, a Japanese-inspired military fantasy & family drama. This story has some clear influence by Avatar: The Last Airbender, yet stands completely on its own as a riveting drama about the legendary Matsuda family and their wartime struggle.
