In Mark 7:24-30, Jesus is in the Hellenistic Gentile region of Tyre and Sidon.  The Syrophoenician woman had heard the stories about Jesus being a healer and was determined to find him. This was her big opportunity.  Her daughter was possessed with an unclean spirit. She wouldn’t give up as she asked people around the town if they knew where Jesus was staying. Meanwhile, Jesus tried to avoid being noticed as he entered a home, but when he sat down, a woman fell at his feet, desperately in need.
