Almost every major event or celebration is occasioned by a big meal. This isn’t true of only our culture. People have been feasting for generations all over the world. A shared meal has great power to bind people together in shared memory and celebration.

This week we kicked off this series by looking at how Jesus treated a woman with a bad reputation who showed up uninvited at a dinner party. Jesus welcomed her, just as she was and pushed back against the religious people who judged her. Like Jesus, our tables should be open to everyone.
