"Chaos reigns in the New York City subway system when heavily armed criminals, led by a mastermind named Ryder (John Travolta), hijack a subway train and threaten to kill everyone on board unless a large ransom is paid. Guilty! I always have a bias for anything featuring NYC as a backdrop, especially any mention of Queens lol BUTT ... does all that plus Denzel being the good guy and Travolta being the (bad) bad guy save the 2009 remake of "The Taking of Pelham 123" from being more than just MID??
