“Follow me.” “Peace, be still.” “It is finished.” The words of Jesus reveal who He is—and invite us to respond with faith, trust, and obedience.
In Episode 18 of The Teachable Podcast, Elizabeth concludes our series on the tongue by exploring eight life-changing sayings of Jesus. Through Scripture and personal stories of uncertainty, painful relationships, and a frightening moment as a mother, we consider what it means to trust Him when we cannot control the outcome.
Together, we explore faith that rests in God’s wisdom, Christ’s victory over death, daily submission to the Father, His finished work on the cross, and the hope of His return.
As you listen, ask yourself: Am I simply hearing the words of Jesus, or am I letting His truth change the way I live?

Let the Lord be magnified in your life this week.
What does forgiveness look like when we actually have to practice it?
In this episode, we work through My Forgiveness Checklist—a practical way to examine our hearts and relationships through the lens of biblical forgiveness.
We’ll look at three important questions: How have I wronged God? How have I wronged others? And who has wronged me that I need to forgive?
Forgiveness begins with recognizing sin, confessing what needs to be confessed, asking forgiveness from those we have wronged, and choosing to forgive those who have wronged us.
This episode is an invitation to honest self-examination and to develop a habit of dealing with sin and resentment before they take root.
Grab your checklist, open your Bible, and take some time to prayerfully examine your own heart.

“Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.” — Psalm 25:4
Forgiveness is easy to talk about—but much harder to practice when someone has genuinely hurt you.

We’ll look at Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness in Matthew 18 and discover why forgiveness is a choice rather than simply a feeling.
We’ll talk about the difference between forgiving someone and ignoring or excusing their wrongdoing, and how we can respond to offenses with love instead of bitterness, revenge, or a desire to hold onto the hurt.
But forgiveness also requires humility when we are the ones who have done wrong. We’ll discuss how to recognize our own sin, confess it to God, and humbly seek forgiveness from those we have hurt.
Forgiveness isn’t always easy, but God’s forgiveness toward us gives us the foundation and motivation to extend forgiveness to others.
Join us as we learn what it means to live with a truly teachable heart—even when forgiveness is hard.

In Episode 13 of The Teachable Podcast, we begin a new series on forgiveness by looking at the greatest forgiveness we can ever receive: God's forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
What does it mean to be forgiven? Why do we need forgiveness in the first place? And how can a holy and righteous God forgive guilty sinners?
Through a courtroom illustration, we explore our guilt before God, the seriousness of sin, and why we could never earn our forgiveness through good works. Most importantly, we look at how Jesus took our place, paid the price for our sin, and made forgiveness possible through His sacrifice on the cross.

As we examine these practical areas of life, you'll be challenged to consider: Am I truly walking in humility, or have I allowed pride to influence the way I think, respond, and relate to others?
Our desire through this series is not simply to understand humility, but to become women who are increasingly teachable, obedient, forgiving, and Christlike.
Key Scripture: Proverbs 18:12 — "Before honour is humility."

Pride is one of the greatest obstacles to spiritual growth because it often hides where we least expect it. It can appear as self-reliance, defensiveness, a desire for recognition, or an unwillingness to receive correction. Yet God's Word reminds us that "God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."
