The Technical Bar (Why FDEs Are the Ultimate Escalation)
In this episode, we unpack Chapter 4 of The Forward Deployed Engineer: Architecting the Last Mile of Enterprise AI by Sho Shimoda. We explore why an FDE must be, first and last, an engineer—and why their technical bar actually needs to be higher than a comparable platform engineer [1, 2].
