Tonight, we’ll revisit a CLASSIC tale of secrets that just can’t stay buried for long!
Earlier this year I alluded to the Tell-Tale heart after a story that dealt with the intersection of guilt and horror. I’ve come to realize that tonight’s protagonist doesn’t feel much guilt about what he’s done—it’s actually somewhat the opposite! Vexed by the eye of an old man, tonight’s protagonist (or is he the ANTAGONIST?) begins a routine of peering into his room during the witching hours, and becoming increasingly perturbed by the eye, until one evening when he can bear the wait no longer, and the unthinkable happens!
This story is called The Tell-Tale Heart, and was written by Edgar Allen Poe…
