The ‘Test next week’ logic puzzle

A teacher tells her class 
"I’m going to give you a test one day next week. I will not tell you the day, so that it will be a surprise for you".

This is a well-known puzzle in logic. Is the teacher correct in saying that the day of the test will be a surprise to her students?
