Dr. Guy Henry was studying robotics engineering when he felt the calling to dedicate his life to helping the less fortunate especially with compassion for the youth.
Dr. Guy began his ministry life working with kids on the street and those heading in uncertain destinies. This later led him to work as an associate and later senior Pastor in a small country town in Mi. Later as the doors of opportunity opened Dr. Guy found himself driving to Honduras to serve for a year in which he has never looked back. Dr. Guy has always felt that their ministry vision is to “Find the Need – Meet the Need – Change the Nation”
While serving in Honduras Dr. Guy completed his graduate studies in theology. Has completed several extra studies in leadership and social development. Since 1996 Dr. Guy has served in Honduras at Arbol de Vida, founded by Tomas Shaw. Dr. Guy now is the lead Pastor where they have planted over 106 churches, established an outreach ministry called “Life in Action” to the most remote areas of Honduras providing the needs of the people such as water, shelter, shoes and clothing, food. Mobility through rugged wheelchairs, and education to over 350 communities annually and averaging over 15,000 documented personas accepting Jesus as the way, the truth and the life.
Plan Escalon, a very unique boarding school offers a safe home, and a place for study, vocational and business training and opportunities to over 400 youth every year to hear and be trained in a biblical environment and then sent out to change their nation.
Dr. Guy Henry has served in Honduras for nearly 22 yrs. He is the lead Pastor of Arbol de Vida and serves to train other leaders throughout the nation by the Grace that God has placed on his life. He is married and has two adopted Honduran children.
