The snowstorm Texas experienced just a few short weeks ago made us all excited to see real snow in our state— a rarity for us Southerners. However, the excitement quickly faded when millions of Texans were left without housing, electricity, or clean drinking water. It wasn't long before our wind turbines failed, Ted Cruz was on a plane to Cancun and Greg Abbott was on Fox News demeaning the Green New Deal. Heated conversations around oil and gas compelled us to call in an energy enthusiast, so we reached out to J.D. Phillips. J.D. earned both his Bachelor and Master of Science at Texas A&M University. He is now finishing up his Master of Business at the McCombs College of Business at the University of Texas. Having worked in oil and gas for some time now, he has a deep understanding of how energy is regulated and distributed in the U.S.. Enjoy the conversation!
