I cover several theological themes that are key to understanding 1 Peter and quote heavily from noteworthy 1 Peter scholars. We first consider pastoral theology, the Trinity, patriology, Christology, pneumatology, and soteriology. Next, we look at 1 Peter's theology in terms of ecclesiology, ethics, the church's relation to the world, theology of suffering, and eschatology. Finally, we discuss how 1 Peter comments on hope, the relationship of 1 Peter to the OT, and the epistle's relationship to the NT as a whole.
