ANC deputy provincial chairperson in KZN - Mike Mabuyakhulu became the first party member to step aside from his position -- in line with the party's resolution on those facing serious criminal charges. National Working Committee instructed that party members - who refuse to step aside within the prescribed 30 days - be served with suspension letters.
