The story centers on Claire, a woman placed in a state-run mental care facility after a violent outburst at her workplace. Though not criminally charged, she is deemed unstable—and sent to the institution’s most curious wing, home to the Thinking Room.

The room is supposed to help patients “process” their actions and reach clarity. No doctors. No distractions. Just you and your thoughts in a sterile, silent space. Claire is told she’ll stay only until she “understands what she’s done.”
