Hope is a very hard thing to describe. Usually, people think of hope and being the same thing as wishful thinking. For example, we might see a child saying, “I hope I get the new Playstation for Christmas” or “I wish for a new Playstation for Christmas” as pretty much the same thing.

But it’s not. The basic difference between Hope and a Wish is that a wish is not based on anything, it is just a want whereas hope is based on something, either a person or an event which sets up an expectation. So, do we have that person or event upon which to base out Hope as Christians? Let’s find out!
