The Thirteenth Hour Podcast #468: My Brother, Jeremy, and I Play His Role Playing Game, Mappa Mundi Part 2
https://archive.org/download/podcast-468/Podcast%20468.mp3
This week, my brother and I are playing an early build of the ecology and exploration role playing game he helped develop with Three Sail Studios, Mappa Mundi.
The idea is you (and your team, if you are playing with others) are explorers and naturalists progressing through the wilderness, traversing obstacles and making notes and observations about the wildlife, including a number of fantastic beasts, while solving the mystery or central plot for the adventure. In this case, a possible monster in the woods and several people who have mysteriously gone missing. Jeremy, who was the gamemaster, adjusted the setting a bit to make it part of the Thirteenth Hour universe. While the story takes place in a world of its own (for this adventure, a kingdom called Barbecia), we decided for this adventure, to make it take place in a far reaching territory in the realm of Tartec, the country where The Thirteenth Hour starts in. We continue the adventure started in episode 467.
Check out the game yourself by downloading the prerelease guide below as well as the art below done by Joel Kilpatrick (which gives you a few clues / spoilers as to the events of the episode).
Check out Jeremy‘s work over at Pixel Grotto, CBR.com, and Classic Batman Panels on IG. If you are of the DnD persuasion, his articles on DnD Beyond may be right up your alley, and you can view his entire portfolio here. You can also check out his latest book, where he is a co-author: Pathfinder Adventure Path: No Breath to Cry. Thanks, Jeremy, for coming on the show!
Don’t forget that the original hunter action figure from A Shadow in the Moonlight is available on Etsy!
