Problems are an inevitable part of life. Whether they are small inconveniences or significant life challenges, the way we perceive and respond to problems determines their impact on our lives. According to the teachings of the Sacred Atlantean Brotherhood, a problem is only as big as you allow it to become. This perspective is rooted in the understanding that most of the pain and distress we experience from problems is not caused by the problem itself, but by the way we think about it. The Brotherhood teaches that any problem can be understood through three concentric circles. These circles represent different levels of the problem—ranging from the actual issue to the layers of thought that we build around it. By recognizing these concentric circles, we can better understand how our minds contribute to the size of the problem, and ultimately, how to manage and reduce it. The First Concentric Circle: The Actual Problem The first and smallest concentric circle is the actual problem itself, whatever it may be. This is the objective, tangible issue that we are facing. It could be a financial crisis, a health issue, a relationship challenge, or a work-related obstacle. While the problem may be serious, it is important to recognize that this first circle represents only the core issue—nothing more, nothing less. Often, when we initially encounter a problem, it is small and manageable. However, it is our thoughts and emotions that can amplify the problem beyond its actual size. The Brotherhood teaches that by focusing solely on the facts of the problem, without allowing our minds to spiral into fear or anxiety, we can keep the problem contained within this first circle. This is where practical solutions can be found, and where most problems can be resolved if we approach them with clarity and composure.
