Catholic Daily Readings and Reflection for August 5, 2025 – Tuesday of the Eighteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Theme: How your focus determines whether you walk in faith or sink in fear.
Peter stepped out of the boat and actually walked on water toward Jesus. For a few glorious moments, faith overcame fear, and trust defied the natural laws of physics. This reflection examines how the difference between supernatural breakthrough and natural breakdown often comes down to our focus in those critical first moments of fear. Jesus’s immediate rescue and compassionate question, “Why did you doubt?” reveal that faith isn’t about feeling strong but about keeping our eyes fixed on Him in the storm.
