Before Samson made a single choice — before he took his first breath — God had already written his assignment. His calling didn't start at birth. It started in eternity past, and arrived through an angel, a vow, and a mother's surrender.
So why did the drift start so early?
Today we go to Judges 14. Not to Delilah — she's still chapters away. We go to Timnah, where Samson sees a woman, wants her, and says the seven words that reveal everything: "Get her for me. She's right in my eyes."
Not God's eyes. His.
That's where it started. Not with one dramatic decision. With one small accommodation. One quiet move away from the standard he was called to.
The Spirit of God still showed up that day. The gift still worked. That's exactly the problem.
One question for today: What was your Timnah?
