The Tignon Laws were created because white women were jealous and enraged of white mens attraction to black women. The white men were attracted to black womens beautiful hair which they adorned with beads, gems, and other accents. The then governor of Louisiana ESTEBAN RODRIGUEZ MIRO issued an order that black women cover their hair with knotted headdresses and refrain from adorning it with jewels while out in the public. Black women should consider this fact when they decide or have already decided in joining white feminist groups. Let's see if fake black feminist and white feminist speak up about the Tignon Laws.
