The Time Is Near

“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” - Revelation 1:3.

Have you noticed that almost everything in life has an expiration date? Food goes bad, opportunities slip away, and even the people we love don’t stay with us forever. But there is one deadline even more serious: the time of the end. John didn’t write Revelation to scare anyone, but to wake up those who are distracted. He said: the time is near.

Think about this: you’re quick to grab your phone the moment a notification pops up. But when God sends you an alert, do you ignore it—or do you rush to see what He’s saying? Revelation is exactly that: a direct notification from heaven saying, “Hey, wake up! Get ready, because I’m coming soon.”

The verse says blessed—truly happy—are those who read, hear, and keep these words. It’s not enough just to listen to a sermon, or to know Jesus is coming someday. You need to keep it, live it, and decide today whose side you’re on.

Look at your life right now. There are things you know are pulling you away from God. Maybe it’s a habit, a toxic friendship, or a prayerless routine. If the time is near, why keep holding on to what’s keeping you far from Him?

Jesus isn’t calling you to a heavy life, but to a life of victory. Revelation shows that in the end, those who choose Christ win. But the choice is now. Not tomorrow. Not “when life gets easier.” Today.

So here’s the question: if the time is as close as John says, are you ready? Or are you still asleep in the middle of a spiritual war?

God is saying: “I want you on My side. I want to give you real happiness, peace the world can’t offer, and a place with Me in eternity.”

Don’t treat this message like just another ignored notification. The time is near. It’s time to decide.

Prayer:

“Lord, wake up my heart. Help me let go of whatever keeps me from You. Make me someone who not only hears but lives Your Word. Prepare me, because I want to be ready when You return. Amen.”
